Capture the environment
Capture
AERIS draws in ambient air through a protected intake system designed for high-particulate environments. Incoming air passes through a debris screen and fine particulate filter before entering a sealed chamber where sensors monitor temperature, humidity, and air quality. At the same time, dual angled solar panels act as a passive rainwater collection system, channeling precipitation into the unit.
This hybrid capture approach allows AERIS to operate across unpredictable conditions. When humidity is sufficient, the system prioritizes atmospheric input, while rainfall supplements or replaces it when available. By combining these sources, AERIS maintains a more consistent and resilient water supply.

Turn air into water
Transform
Filtered air is directed across a temperature-controlled evaporator coil within a sealed thermal system. A variable-speed compressor and heat exchange loop cool the air below its dew point, causing water vapor to condense into liquid droplets. These droplets collect on a hydrophilic surface and are guided into a stainless-steel condensate tray.
The process is continuously adjusted in real time. Sensors regulate compressor load, airflow, and operating cycles based on environmental conditions and available energy. When conditions reduce efficiency, output scales accordingly, while rainwater input helps stabilize performance.

Deliver safe drinking water
Purify
All collected water is routed through a multi-stage treatment system to ensure it is safe for consumption. Sediment filtration removes particulates, activated carbon reduces organic compounds, and a UV-C chamber neutralizes bacteria before the water enters a sealed storage tank.
Water-contact components are made from food-safe plastics and stainless steel to prevent contamination. The enclosed system protects the water after treatment, ensuring both atmospheric and rain-derived sources are consistently converted into safe drinking water.
Under typical operating conditions, the system produces approximately 5–20 liters of potable water every 24 hours, with output reaching 20+ liters per day in high humidity environments and dropping to 3–5 liters per day in drier or less optimal conditions.

FAQ
How much water does AERIS produce per day?
AERIS produces approximately 5–15 liters per day in typical conditions, with output exceeding 20 liters per day in high humidity environments and decreasing in dry or poor air conditions. As the system scales to larger, container-sized units, this output increases to approximately 300–2,000+ liters per day, enabling support for hundreds of people while maintaining the same environmental dependencies.
